Joe started practicing yoga on his first weekend after graduating Army basic training. Yoga for him began as a practice of love, healing, and grounding, and has remained a constant within a turbulent lifestyle. Joe has been practicing yoga for nine years and teaching for seven. His formative yoga teachers were based in vinyasa, ashtanga, and anusara practices, and so his teaching style has become both playful and primal, with an emphasis on proprioception and understanding. Joe also has a background in fitness training and can easily be baited into discussing commonalities between yoga cues and strength training.
